Plaintiff Attorney refuses to produce documents

My wife was served with court papers regarding a past due debt.

We sent the attorney (and filed in court) a request for copies of any and all documents and records regarding this matter.

We received no response to that request at all.

Instead we received a set of Interrogatories, a Request for my wife to produce documents, and a Request for Admissions.

I know that under Georgia Law she is required to answer these questions.

Isn't the Attorney also required under the law to provide the documents we requested?

Does she have any recourse if the Attorney refuses?

If the Attorney has not provided us with the documents as required by law can we file a Motion for Dismissal?

Where did all the money go??????

In 2005, my husband received notice from his employer that his wages were being garnished. They were garnished from May-Nov.-'05 & Mar.-Sept '06 and AGAIN in Jan.'07. In Jan. of this year, we hired an attorney. The judgement was "vacated" and "set side" and all monies were ordered returned. All monies were not however returned. The plaintiff's attorney told our attorney that the amount reimbursed is all they had and for the rest we will have to contact our local court. My question is: Will the court have a paper trail showing all money garnished as well as dates sent to plaintiff? Will we

Liable spouse?

I rencently returned a phone call from an attorneys office trying to collect a debt for another collection company. The original debt was due to Direct Merchants. Here is my question, they don't want to settle and have threatened to take me to court. He also stated that my wife's employment would be verified. I told him that my wife and I had no joint credit or any assets. Can they legally contact my wife's place of employment when she has no part of my original debt? How do I stop this, or can I?
Second question, they stated they wouldn't settle and that a judgment wasn't time barred and that they could renew the judgment. True?

Request for Admissions, First Interrogatories to Defendant, Plaintiff's First Request to Produce Documents

I am currently working with a debt settlement company. I received a summons for an attorney representing Target, in which I responded and filed with the court within the 30 day timeframe. I have now received papers asking for a request for admissions, first interrogatories, and request to produce documents. Do I need to respond to this? And, if I don't will it hurt my case?

I used a pre-paid legal attorney to respond to the summons, but there was a problem with my account and I have to start over. I'm starting to stress over this because time is growing short.

My debt settlement company is trying to negotiate a settlement with the attorney. I was told they wanted 80% but I don't quite have that amount in my account. It is closer to 70%. However, the last amount I was given was they wanted $10,000 of an $11,264.14 debt, which is just under 90%. The attorney also added $105 to the balance stated in the summons ($11,159.14). This is a balance which has not changed since Jan. 25 and I don't understand or see how they can change it now.
